Provide Student Scholarships
Endowed ScholarshipsDonors can provide much needed scholarship support through the establishment of endowments. Each endowed scholarship bears the name designated by the donor. Endowment funds are invested and managed, with interest and dividends used to perpetually fund the scholarship or program requested by the donor.
Whenever possible, state funds are secured to supplement or even match the donor's contribution thus increasing the endowment. An endowment of $30,000 is needed to provide a full scholarship including tuition, fees and books. An endowment of $20,000 will fund a tuition-only scholarship and an endowment of $10,000 will fund a partial scholarship. When the state's dollar-for-dollar matching funds are available, these endowment levels can be reached with gifts of $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively. Commemorative/Memorial Scholarships
By creating a commemorative or memorial scholarship, you honor past achievements while paving the way for a new generation's accomplishments. Many donors honor a loved one through the creation of a memorial scholarship into which family and friends may contribute. These pooled assets provide Pensacola State College Foundation scholarships based on financial need. Special Grants
Special Grants for S.A.F.E. (Student Assistance Fund for Emergencies) may be established with a $2,000 minimum commitment. At the donor's discretion, the grants can provide for short or long-term loans, textbook awards, transportation grants, childcare assistance or other special needs not usually covered by existing financial aid programs.
