Several thousand students have studied, rehearsed, and performed at PJC since the Music and Theatre Department was formed in 1957.
PJC's music and theatre graduates can be seen in Broadway plays, Hollywood productions, recording studios, directing church choirs, and teaching college, high school and middle school students.
Whether you enjoy the spotlight or performing behind the scenes, you can choose the best area to showcase your talents:
PJC Theatre - presents one musical and two plays per year
PJC Student Directed One Acts – presented as the course final

PJC Musical Theatre Class Production - presented as the course final
PJC Concert Chorale & Jazz Choir - performs four to five concerts per year


PJC Wind and Jazz Ensemble – performs four to five concerts per year


PJC Guitar, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion Ensembles – perform several times per year
 

PJC Student Recital – presented four times per semester to allow individual performance

Runge String Orchestra – jointly sponsored by PJC and University of West Florida, presents two concerts per year
Pensacola Guitar Chamber Orchestra – presents a spring recital
Pensacola Civic Band – presents eight concerts per year, and is an adult organization sponsored by PJC

Music Showcase – a non-stop music extravaganza held each spring at the Saenger Theatre featuring all of PJC’s large groups, ensembles and individual performers
SHOW – Summer High School Onstage
Workshop – an award winning program created for high school students who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in a full-scale musical production.
