June 4 – 5, 2009 Center Hosts the Deep South Mini-SUN with Laerdal
The Mary Smart Simulation Center will host the 2009 Deep South Mini-SUN sponsored by Laerdal on June 4th and 5th. The event will offer a range of seminars and workshops to 50 to 75 novice and experienced patient simulation instructors. Participants are from educational and healthcare institutions across the Deep South, ranging from Texas to the panhandle of Florida. Workshop topics range from the use of standardized patients to debriefing scenarios and integrating patient simulation across the curriculum. Tracks address the need of new simulation users dealing with issues of faculty and staff support to experienced users wanting to conduct research in their labs and centers.
