September 25, 2009, Center Executive Director Appointed to Advisory Panel for Study of Simulation in Florida
Dr. Keith Samuels, Executive Director of the Many Smart Simulation Center has been appointed to the advisory panel to a grant that will be lead by the Florida Center for Nursing. The two year project, Promoting the Use of Simulation Technology in Florida Nurse Education, will complete a statewide simulation resource inventory and identify needs. Final recommendations will include a strategy to establish a state and regional model for simulation in nursing education that will facilitate communication and a common infrastructure for technical expertise, establishment of standards, sharing of equipment and scenarios, and establishing outcome measures for evaluation.
