Computer Science

 Welcome to the Computer Science Department

The department offers courses dealing with computer applications and programming. Students are able to meet the computer competence requirement for their degree by taking CGS 1570 Computer Concepts and Applications or other courses offered by the department. Additionally, the department offers AA programs(Computer Information Systems and Computer Science), AAS programs (Computer Programming and Analysis and Internet Services Technology, and certificate programs (Computer Programming and Web Development Specialist). Courses are offered on all three campuses and at NAS.

FEE PAYMENT FOR SPRING TERM 2010

Spring term 2010 (Session A, B, C and D): Fees are due by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Registration schedules that remain unpaid by the deadline will be canceled. Registrations processed on or after January 5 must be paid by the close of business on the day of registration.

AA Degree CLAST Requirements Changed

The State of Florida Legislature has repealed the requirement to pass the College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) in order to be awarded an associate in arts degree. This change goes into effect for any student earning the associate in arts degree after June 30, 2009. more ...
