Skills
Its not enough to know ‘about’ something – you must also know how to ‘do’ something. Skills, especially technical skills, are required to land a good job in today’s changing job market.
Academic Preparation
Students begin on their “Career Pathway” while in high school by focusing on rigorous academics and technical skills and then link their high school studies with the similar associate degree program at Pensacola Junior College.
Earn College Credits While in High School
By taking specific technical courses in high school (often called Academies) and earning a final grade of “B”, students have already begun earning college credit while in high school. Upon graduation, students who enroll at PJC select the program of study that matches their high school technical courses, and can request a review of their records and start the process of being awarded college credit.
Save Time and Money
By earning college credits while in high school students make a smooth transition between high school and college by not duplicating course work and they save time, tuition and book money.
