TRIO - Student Support Services (SSS)
Student Support Services is a federally funded program designed to motivate students to complete their post-secondary education. Emphasis is on retaining the students in college and increasing the number of college graduates by providing services to help them succeed.
Services include:
- Instruction in basic study skills
- Tutorial services
- Academic, career, vocational, and personal advising
- Financial aid assistance
- Application assistance
- Assistance in finding loans, grants, and scholarships
- Electronic filing of FAFSA
- Grant aid to current SSS participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grants
- College services
- Tutoring
- Peer mentoring
- Supplemental instruction
- Workshops for students
